Hello all! It’s been a while since my last post, but I’m finally back! I recently went to a Harmon store, and all these beautiful e.l.f. beauty products were on display. You can all guess what happened next…I bought a bunch of them! They’re so affordable, it’s too tempting! I’ve used e.l.f. products before, so I decided to try some new ones this time around. Here is a list of what I purchased:
Face
The e.l.f Kabuki brush, also known as my new favorite brush ever! It’s great for applying setting powder, bronzer or for blending. Price: $6 (true story!)
e.l.f.Studio Mineral Infused Primer. Tone Adjusting. I’ve tried green primer before, since it’s supposed to neutralize redness. I really like this one! As you can see from the picture, even though lit looks very green, you cannot see the green tinge on the skin, and it gets absorbed quickly. This primer also feels very smooth and silky when applied to face. It helps with dryness and fine lines, so it’s perfect for my skin. Price: $6 (you can’t beat that!)
Lips
e.l.f. Lip Stain in Nude Nectar. This is the only product that I was disappointed with. The color did not last very long on my lips and it dried out pretty quickly, so I had to throw it out. Price: $3
Eye Makeup
- The e.l.f. eyebrow kit is great for the price. The kit has powder and gel and it includes a brush. I was able to fill in my eyebrows nicely and the color matched. Price: $3
- I’ve used the e.l.f. Cream Eyeliner in Black before, and it never disappoints. It goes on smoothly, it’s easy to apply and it lasts all day. (side note: a little trick I use to make cream or liquid liner last longer is to go over with a powder or eyeshadow of the same color). Price: $3
- Last but not least, is the e.l.f High Definition Undereye Setting Powder. This is my first attempt at using a product like this, so I don’t have much to compare it with. I can tell you that it comes with a brush, it’s easy to apply and it does have a brightening effect. Since I always have dark circles, I’m always looking for products that brighten my undereye area. Price: $3.
Overall, I’m happy with my purchase and I’ve incorporated most of these products into my daily makeup routine. However, if you exclusively use organic/natural makeup, you may not like this brand. Personally, when it comes to makeup, while I try to use more natural products, I also like to mix it up and try new products (and again, they are super-affordable!). I hope that you’ll find this review helpful. Until next time!
