NYFW: Zac Posen Fall /Winter 2016 at Spring Studios

Disclaimer: This is not a sponsored post. All opinions are 100% my own.

As many of you know, fashion week just ended here in NYC. This year I had the pleasure and honor of attending the Zac Posen Fall/Winter 2016 show at Spring Studios in Tribeca. This  was a fan moment for me, since he is not only one of my favorite designers, but also one of my favorite judges on Project Runway.

“For this collection, I had in mind the incredible journey of Princess Elizabeth  of Toro who gained a level of fame around the world in the 1960s for her kind nature, stunning appearance, and exceptional intellect.” -Zac Posen

Mr. Posen’s quote explains where the inspiration for this beautiful, elegant and versatile collection originated. Princess Elizabeth of Toro was the first black woman to get a spread in Vogue Magazine and  one of the first few female attorneys in East, Central and Southern Africa. (source: http://biography.yourdictionary.com/elizabeth-bagaaya-nyabongo-of-toro).  Given the inspiration, Zac Posen decided to cast a majority of of black models for this runway show, which is still rare in the fashion world.

Now onto my report of the runway show. While I anxiously waited for the show to begin, I was able to spot some celebrities, such as Katie Holmes, Carla Gugino, Nina Garcia (also from Project Runway), Coco Rocha, Jennifer Hudson and Miss J Alexander Runway Coach Diva Extraordinaire (you may remember him from ANTM).

OZ Naturals Vitamin C Cleanser with Rose Hip Oil

OzNaturalsVitaminC

Hi everyone! So I’ve been busy testing some new skincare products, and am finally ready to review one of them!

As someone with dry and sometimes sensitive skin, I’m always on a quest for a new cleanser. Most cleansers tend to be too harsh for me and after a while I have to stop using them. Also, I generally prefer more natural skincare products – since they tend to be less harsh and cruelty-free- and I know also look for ones that  have some anti-aging properties. So if, like me,  you’re looking for a natural anti aging cleanser, the OZ Naturals Vitamin C Cleanser is the one for you!

Product Description and Properties

I received this cleanser from OZ Naturals in exchange for an honest review, as I joined their reviewer program. The OZ Naturals Vitamin C cleanser is very gentle and not drying. After each use, my skin always feels soft and smells delicious since it contains Rose Hip Oil. Also it does not strip natural oils from my skin. The Vitamin C cleanser washes off very easily, is clear and has a light almost gel-like consistency (see picture below).

OzNaturalsVitaminC

The OZ Naturals Vitamin C Cleanser is sulfate-free and 72% organic. As you can guess from the name, it contains Vitamin C (which helps fade sun spots and discoloration) as well as Aloe Vera, Olive Oil, Tea Tree Oil and Rose Hip Oil (which has anti aging properties due to the anti oxidants).

How to use

The OZ Naturals company recommends you use this cleanser daily, in conjunction with a serum, moisturizer and eye treatment in. Please note that this is not an exfoliating cleanser, and therefore you still have to exfoliate after cleansing. Tip: my esthetician recommends exfoliating 3 times a week. For dry skin, cleanse only at night, and wash your face with just warm water in the morning.

Additional Product Information

  • cruelty free
  • 100% vegan
  • Made in the U.S.A.
  • Retails on amazon.com and oznaturals.com for $24.19

Happy cleansing!
